FAQs

Q: Why does ETFtable.com run so slowly in my browser?

A: ETFtable.com does a lot of work in your browser with Javascript to create all the data you see for each ETF. Some browsers such as Internet Explorer have a slower performing Javascript engine. We recommend using the latest version of Firefox or Google Chrome.

Q: I have a suggestion to make ETFtable.com even better - how can I communicate that to the creators of ETFtable.com?

A: To let us know your suggestions or any feedback, please send an email to Etft[at]ETFtable.com.

Q: What is the advantage of calculating the percentage amount of a Exponential Moving Average crossover?

A: By calculating the percentage instead of just a yes/no that the fast EMA is over the slow EMA, you can rank and sort by the crossover pair and as a result you can compare ETFs more effectively.

Q: What is the meaning of all the colors in the cells of the table?

A: Each value for Percent Performance and EMA Crossover Percentage indicators has a rank which represents how each ETF compares to all the others in the list for that particular indicator. We make it easy to quickly see how an ETF ranks on different timelines for performance and trend by color coding each rank value. Also, if the value itself is Green or Red, that means that the value crossed above or below zero in the past day (meaning a Crossover, New High or New Low just happened).

Q: Can I use ETFtable.com to monitor my portfolio of ETFs?

A: Yes, you can create a space or comma delimited list of the ETF ticker symbols in your portfolio. Then add a new filter with the following parameters: Column=Item.Ticker , Operator="is in list" , Filter Value={your list of ETF tickers}. Then click apply. Now the results will only be from your ETF portfolio and narrowed down by any additional filters specified. ETFtable's screener saves your filter and sort preferences between visits to the site, so next time you visit it will use your custom screen for your ETF portfolio (unless you have cleared your browser cookies).
