Terry Alexander Picture Terry Alexander heads up the Country Risk and Capital Markets team at Business Monitor International (BMI), a position he has held for the past six years. BMI analyses currencies, bonds, equity indices, interest rates and commodities across global emerging markets. It also produces macroeconomic forecasts for 150 countries, as well as economic, political, business environment and sovereign risk ratings. Prior to working at BMI, Terry spent 12 years as a senior foreign exchange and interest rate trader at Phibro-Salomon Brothers, AIG and Bank of Nova Scotia.

Terry Alexander Picture Tim Cooper is head of the Latin America department at Business Monitor International. He holds a BA from Yale University and an MSc from the London School of Economics, and is currently working towards the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Tim Meyer Picture Tim has been with Rydex since 1997. He was responsible for the launch of a proprietary variable annuity product and the creation of the next generation to the annuity, Rydex Variable Trust. After working with Rydex insurance products and insurance company partners, Tim took over the ETF business manager duties with the launch of Rydex’s flagship ETF in 2003, Rydex S&P Equal Weight ETF (RSP). RSP tracks the S&P Equal Weight Index and is the first equally weighted exchange traded fund. Several other ETFs have launched under his leadership since that time. Tim’s responsibilities include the day-to-day operational management of the Rydex ETF Trust and additional exchange traded trusts.

Greg Newton

Greg Newton is a private investor who writes the Naked Shorts blog covering alternative investments - including much coverage of hedge fund flimflam - and his own stupid adventures in the capital markets.

Greg Newton Picture A journalist by training, he ran the North American operations of the British publishing company Metal Bulletin plc for more than 17 years, before retiring in late 2004. While at Metal Bulletin, Greg was the founding publisher of MAR/Hedge, the first independent hedge fund newsletter, and was also involved in a number of mostly successful M&A transactions, including Metal Bulletin's acquisition of Bank Credit Analyst and American Metal Market.

 In his native New Zealand, Greg ran his own publishing and public relations consultancy for more than five years before upping stakes and moving to the US in 1984.
